Giligan’s Island Week?
While I was digging around inside my computer last night, my mobo sorta died on me, and now my computer won’t start. So I went and ordered new parts from newegg (nearly 700 bucks total for a X1800XT 512MB video card, 2.2GHz AMD 64 cpu, 2 1GB corsair RAM sticks, and ASUS PCI-E mobo), which should get here by this Friday. Assuming I don’t fuck anything up again, and nothing comes DOA, I’ll be sitting pretty next week with a decently upgraded system. OR I could still be stuck on this 1GHz 256MB RAM piece of junk metal and sorting out RMAs - only time will tell. Till then, no Dreamweaver, no wireless internet acces, no GMAIL, no FTP, and no Google Desktop (don’t be hatin’ Google Notebook now.) Hmm.. I don’t even have Firefox on this system! Oh yeah, every time I boot this thing up, the computer tells me my hard drive is about to die. How comforting is that? Anyway, right now I’m feeling like I’ve been dumped on Giligan’s Island, except no Ginger or Mary Anne.
BTW, I was able to fire up Outlook and read some emails, one of which had a bunch of the latest MET-Art galleries. Here’s a few that made the cut:
