Posts of The Week: Tear Jerkers and Deepest Fear

I read what seems like a gazillion blog posts every week, and at least a half of it goes right by me like water under the bridge. But this post by Chelsea Girl stopped me cold in my tracks. I literally had to take a breath in the middle because I started tearing up. Believe it or not, its the second time she got me, so I know she didn’t just get lucky.

If you’re in a thoughtful mood, also check out a Our Deepest Fear by Ms. Naughty, where she quotes Marianne Williamson. Not to steal her thunder, but here’s how it starts off:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate,
our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

Kinda Matrix-esque, isn’t it? Here’s my take: as long as you’re addicted to feeding your own ego, you’re not living up to your full potential. Once you become a slave to something greater than yourself - then you’ll start to grow toward becoming all that you can be.

Hope you had a happy 4th of July.
