Yeah, so I’ve been going through Danni.com’s videos lately (that’s a link to my review site, not to danni.com, in case you wanna know more about the site) to write up an upbeat review, but I noticed some of their newer vids stutter like crazy.

So I checked the frame rate on them and my fucking god, they’re like 24fps or lower. The older vids don’t have this problem, and I’m quite satisfied with them actually, but man.. these new vids really blow. Anyway, I shot an email to a guy working for danni.com last night asking if this crappy fps deal is a permanent fixture to their otherwise kickass site. No response so far. If he doesn’t answer by the end of the week, I swear I’m going to hit the dude up on ICQ.

I’ve done the same with the owner of VideoBox, who turned out to be cluess about how videos should be encoded. He kept telling me his encoder guy said 18 FPS is good enough and I told him in so many words, “ARE YOU NUTS!?” As far as I know, their video frame rate still suck, so imo even if the monthly fee is dirt cheap you’re better off renting DVDs. Same deal with a guy from Mac and Bumble. I coached the guy via email a few times till he got it right.

Not to brag, but I’ve done enough DVD ripping in my day to know what I’m talking about. And I just have this pet peeve about pornsites dishing out mediocre content, ya know what I’m saying? I expect Hi Def porn these days - nothing less. And if you can’t handle the bandwidth bill, well, too fucking bad, because the customer is always right.
